Discover Co Kildare’s precious “Gem”. Woodlands Golf Course combines a tranquil setting, a challenging, but fair Golf Course, as well as a Warm and Friendly atmosphere.

Originally a 9 hole course, and owned by local businessman Peter Daly, the members of the Golf Club were given the opportunity to purchase the Club in 1993. The 9-hole course was redesigned by Tommy Halpin and constructed by John Clinch. The newly designed course was opened on the 25th May 1997 by Captain’s, Tadhg Butler & Nuala Kavanagh.

In 1996 the members decided to purchase a further 60 acres, and expand the course to an 18-hole course, which was also designed by Tommy Halpin and constructed by John Clinch.

The 18 hole course was opened by minister for finance Charlie McCreevey TD, on the 6th June 2000, with the assistance of Captain’s, Kevin Reilly & Antoinette Conway.

Woodlands’ Golf Course is now a mature, 18-hole parkland course. At 5,877m long, and with seven lakes and 38 bunkers strategically placed around the course, not to mention the 1,500 trees planted since 1999, it encourages you to play the full range of golf shots in your bag. Visitors to Woodlands will be delighted by the variety, as they enjoy their round. There are no two holes the same, and the diversity of tree type, hillocks, slopes and water hazards, will enhance the enjoyment of golfers of all abilities. There is also a 18 Hole Pitch & Putt Course on site.

Woodlands Golf Club opened its state of the art Clubhouse in May 2006, affording the Golfer every facility.
